The Enlightenment is the basis of modern civilisation. In terms of how they regard this, traditionalists and libertarians are defined, and define themselves, as in opposition. The heroes of one side may be the villains of the other. This being said, there is a growing acceptance on both sides that we face an enemy that is at war both with liberty and with tradition.
