Annual General Meeting 2012 review - conservatives rising!
by The Editor
The Traditional Britain Group held a successful Annual General Meeting, followed by an excellent and informative talk from a spokesman from Migration Watch, last Saturday. An enthusiastic array of TBG members discussed the successes of 2011 and the future plans for 2012 – whilst the new committee was announced. The Traditional Britain Group can provide THE home to traditional conservatives from a variety of organisations, groups, educational institutions, clubs and parties looking for a genuine fight back, in thought and action. The line must be held – and pushed back against socialism, liberalism and unrestrained globalism, and this depends on a strong set of radical traditionalist and conservative ideas.
The Tartan Greece - Stuart Millson considers a future “independent” Scotland

By Stuart Millson - Today, our fellow countrymen North of the Border are facing a great choice which will have a great bearing on what we are all to be: the continuity of the UK, or a Scotland alone – or within Europe, and an England and Wales of county councils – a British Prime Minister no longer at international summits or in G7? (GQ, perhaps, but not G7…) Could it really be the case that Scottish Regiments will one day become the “Scottish Defence Force”, or that James Naughtie might be taken from us on Radio 4, to be made head of a new Scottish Broadcasting Corporation?!
Conservatism And Progressivism

By David Hamilton - We must understand the difference between a patriotic way of thinking and that of “Progressives” and “Internationalists.” Their ideological view is often based on a book and people are expected to refer to it and divergence from orthodoxy leads to being denounced or given correctional training. This happened in the Soviet Union, Mao’s China, Cambodia under Pol Pot and in the West now under Political Correctness. This is a Marxist strain but it came in with the New Left under the guise of a new Liberalism. Even now well-meaning liberals promote PC without understanding its totalitarian nature.
The Problem With Unlimited Kindness

PATRICK KEENEY enjoys a witty tossing and goring of a contemporary sacred cow. 'For the past 150 years or so there has been in the West a steady-state sort of political and intellectual conformism which coalesces around these twin ideas of a universal benevolence and universal equality. Enlightened benevolence has triumphed.'
